These terms govern your use of Kiray. By creating an account or using the app you agree to them.
What Kiray is
Kiray is a marketplace that lets landlords and agents advertise property to rent, and lets renters find and contact them. We are not a party to any rental agreement. We do not own, manage, inspect or guarantee any property listed, and we are not an agent for either side.
Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Give accurate information and keep it current.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your password and verification codes to yourself — we will never ask you for a code.
- One account per person. We may suspend duplicate or fraudulent accounts.
Listings
If you publish a listing, you confirm that you have the right to rent the property out and that the details, price and photos are accurate and your own to use. You must verify your phone number before publishing.
Do not list property you do not control, repeat the same property to gain visibility, advertise anything unlawful, or use a listing to collect payments or personal data under false pretences.
Conduct
Do not use Kiray to harass, defraud, discriminate against or impersonate anyone; to scrape or bulk-extract data; to interfere with the service or bypass its rate limits and security controls; or to post anything unlawful or misleading.
Payments between users
Rent, deposits and any other money change hands directly between you and the other party. Kiray does not hold, transmit or guarantee those payments. Be careful: never send a deposit for a property you have not seen, and be sceptical of anyone who refuses to meet or pressures you to pay quickly.
Content you post
You keep ownership of what you post. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute it for the purpose of operating and promoting the service. That licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies already made in backups or by other users.
Objectionable content and abusive users
Kiray has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Do not post or send anything that is sexually explicit, hateful, threatening, violent, harassing, discriminatory or otherwise offensive, in a listing, a photo, a message, a review or your profile.
You can report a listing from its page, and report or block a user from any chat. A blocked user can no longer message you. We review reports within 24 hours, remove content that breaks these terms, and suspend or permanently remove the accounts of users who post it.
Moderation
New listings are reviewed before they are published. We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these terms or that we reasonably believe is fraudulent or harmful. Where practical we will explain why.
Advertising
The app shows third-party advertising. Adverts are not endorsements, and we are not responsible for what advertisers offer.
Availability
The service is provided "as is". We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or discontinue features.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Kiray is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from a transaction, a dispute or any dealing between users. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, and disputes fall to the courts of Ethiopia.
Changes
We may update these terms. Continuing to use Kiray after a change means you accept the updated version.
